Earlier this year, in October, we were a part of the annual Internet Festival in Pisa. As always, it was a chance to showcase what Python and Zerynth tools have to offer.

Internet Festival in Pisa

The Internet Festival is famous for its strive to present the most innovative and groundbreaking ideas. It mixes art, technology, and gaming into one, and allows people from different backgrounds to meet and exchange ideas.

You could discuss your own humanity and the coming clash of man and machine, and swim in some rather philosophical water. But you could also talk about storytelling in video games, or go to a wine tasting to talk about AI. All of this covered during the three days of the festival.

Of course, we were happy to be a part of it. We decided that this year we would talk about the combination of industry 4.0 and Python, and hold to presentations. The morning event covered the topic of Industry 4.0 and the 4ZeroPlatform, while the evening event covered the implementation of Industry 4.0 strategies and technologies with the Zerynth tools. You can learn more about the two events here.

Take a look at the video below, to see what it was like at the GATE Centre during the festival:

The GATE Centre is where our R&D offices are. It is a scientific and technological hub in Pisa. It’s the same place where we held The Things Conference on Tour in Italy, last year in October. The conference was a part of the Internet Festival in Pisa 2018.

The theme of the conference was “Python and LoRaWAN for IoT and Industry 4.0 applications”. It was an excellent chance to gain real-life experience with the LoRaWAN ecosystem.
