In less than a month The Things Conference Italy in Pisa, Italy, will begin, and we are here to tell you who its speakers are going to be. After all, these are the people who will be holding the workshop everyone is so excited about.

These industry experts will be sharing their knowledge and experience, with a focus on Python and LoRaWAN for IoT and industry 4.0.

Conference speakers

Daniele Mazzei is the co-founder and Technical Director of TOI (Things on Internet), an IoT company he built on a vision of improving the interaction between people and smart objects. Earlier this year the company launched the 4ZeroPlatform, a data acquisition platform for the industry 4.0. Daniele also holds a position of professor of Social Robotics at the University of Pisa.

Giacomo Baldi – As the chief architect behind Zerynth software tools Giacomo has developed these versatile tools for programming 32-bit microcontrollers in Python from scratch. Giacomo is also the co-founder of TOI. Some of his expertise are software development, embedded programming, IoT, and blockchain.

Laurens Slats is the community manager of The Things Network. He works on the global rollout of the open and crowdsourced Internet of Things data network with help of 700 communities worldwide. Laurens is also one of the instructors of the LoRaWAN Academy, an online course about LoRaWAN technology and works at The Things Industries where he deploys Private LoRaWAN Networks for industrial use.

Stefano Giordano – As an author of more than 300 publications on modern telecommunications networks Stefano is an expert in the field. He teaches Networking & Internet and Telecommunication Engineering courses at the University of Pisa.

Dario Kubler is Microchip’s Field Application Manager for South & East Europe. He holds a masters degree in Electronic Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan. Dario is a public lecturer with a specialization in astronomy and science.
