After two successful SPRINT 4.0 courses that our partner TOI has held in Barcelona and Bremen, it’s time for the third one. The final SPRINT 4.0 course will be held in Pisa, from the 23rd until the 27th of September.

As with the previous courses, the main tool will be the Zerynth-powered 4ZeroPlatform. With it, and some other tools, the TOI team will be teaching the participants how to build Industrial IoT applications.

4ZeroPlatform a plug-and-play data gathering, processing, and reporting solution that provides visibility and optimization of Industrial Processes. Its official programming framework is Zerynth.

All the workshops will take place at the University of Pisa. You can find more information here, and learn how to enroll for the course.

Zerynth and Xinabox workshop

One of the workshops will be dedicated to the combination of Zerynth and XinaBox, since it has proven itself to be very versatile and easy to learn.

The workshop is divided into three parts, based on the level of complexity:

  • Blinking of the LED on the CW02, using threads to introduce multi-tasking.
  • Adding the SW01 weather sensor and reading data from it. The data is then displayed on the Serial Monitor.
  • The SW01 weather sensor and CW02 become an edge device and share data with the Ubidots IoT platform.

Here’s how it looked the last time:
