Last week we held a webinar at the Cypress IoT-AdvantEdge™ webinar series, titled “Python on PSoC® 6 MCUs for IoT and Blockchain applications“. Now, we’re happy to let you know that you can watch the whole webinar online.

If you’ve missed it, or you simply want to watch it again, just visit the webinar page and register to watch.

To make things easier for you to follow and learn from, we also included the full presentation in this post:

More about the demo

Before you start watching the webinar, perhaps you would like to learn more about the demo that we have presented. Giacomo Baldi, our co-founder, and CTO, was the main speaker, and he purposely chose to show this demo because of how relevant it is in today’s IoT market.

Think about it, to have the possibility to generate, sign, and send transactions from the inside of a microcontroller (such as PSoC® 6) is a great advantage to any developer today. This means that any device capable of running the cryptography algorithms can directly take advantage of Blockchain and Smart Contracts. In turn, removing centralized gateways and points of failure.

Of course, this can be applied to many different fields. For example, a supply chain can be monitored from the inside removing any single central authority, storing the data, and offering to final customers a certificate of the process goods are going through.

In short, this webinar explored the potential of combining IoT and blockchain using Python directly on the PSoC 6 MCU, thanks to the Zerynth OS.
